Developed by the co-founder of Magic Mountain, Timber Ridge originally opened as Glebe Mountain Farm Ski Area in the mid 1960s. After a series of expansions and bankruptcies, the area was briefly connected to Magic Mountain ski area before the combined operation went out of business.
