History: Black Mountain, New Hampshire
Updated the 1970s history!
“The orientation of trails is delightfully simple - conservatives to the right and liberals to the left. Looking from the parking lot, the progression in difficulty splits nicely at the long T-bar. Novices find excellent, safe skiing by staying to the east of this center along Sugarbush, Black Beauty and Spruce Run. Moderates discover their average ability is well-served along Galloping Goose, Runaway and Jackson Standard. The liberals who want to swing down the Maple Slalom, Black Diamond and Roller Coaster can experience a nice challenge.” - Boston Globe, December 1971
