History: Berkshire Snow Basin, Massachusetts

Updated the 1980s and 1990s history!

Located in Western Massachusetts, Berkshire Snow Basin was owned and operated by the Brown family for decades. Following the death of Stan Brown, Ruth Brown eventually leased the area to Berkshire East and Jiminy Peak during the early 1980s before selling. Though big ideas were proposed by subsequent owners, the area is now defunct.
